Popularised by Dior and worn by Royalty and sophisticates worldwide, the French Pleat says unambiguously “I’m important”. Neat at the front but oozing with elegance from profile and rear, this look just demands admiring glances.

Step1 Image

Apply Alberto European Extra Hold Mousse to towel-dry hair and blow dry using a diffuser. Separate into sections and lightly back comb.

Gather your hair to the back left, leaving a section across the front free. Secure the gathered hair with a line of pins down the centre at the back.

Step3 Image

Smoothly roll the gathered hair into the centre and pin in place to create the vertical pleat. Hold with Alberto European Extra Hold Hairspray.

4.
Step4 Image

Sweep your remaining hair from the front across to the right and back, curve and blend into the top of the pleat and secure with pins, again holding with Alberto European Extra Hold Hairspray.
