This is a big, beautiful Bardot inspired look, epitomised in the film Barbarella of the early 60s. And it’s not just for blondes – this will suit you whatever your hair color.

Apply a small orange-sized ball of Alberto European Curls and Waves Mousse to your towel dry hair. Use your fingers like a rake to apply from roots to ends.

Blow dry, lifting your hair and working from below to get good root lift. Pay particular attention to the crown area. Dry at the roots, leaving the tips damp. Section hair from ear to ear across the back and pin up the top hair.

Start at the back using a medium size round brush to create curls, and bobby pin curls loosely in place while hair sets and dries. Carry on with sections up the head. Don’t worry about neatness as this adds to the look. Ensure top curls roll away from the hair line.

When dry remove the grips and brush through from roots to tips.
